The world-renowned kora virtuoso Toumani Diabaté from Mali forms the African part of the project with five other musicians from the West African country of Mali on the instruments balafon, guitar, ngoni lute, percussion and vocals. On the new album Diabaté & Co. can be heard together with the London Symphony Orchesra, "LSO". This is the first time the 21-string West African harp guitar Kora has been heard in a symphonic context. The music from Africa is not overwhelmed by orchestral abundance.
