RIP Johnny Clegg - thank you for the music

Throughout his life, musician Johnny Clegg has gone beyond boundaries. He sang in different languages, played songs in different genres - and appeared in the era of apartheid with black musicians. At the age of 66, the South African artist died.
Cleggs longtime manager Roddy Quin praised the artist in a statement: "Johnny leaves deep marks in the hearts of all who consider themselves Africans, and with his unique style of music he overcame cultural boundaries like no other." He has never bowed to the pressure of apartheid rules, Quin said.
