You could say that Theresa Stroetges is a musician, singer and multi-instrumentalist. One could also say much more accurately: She is a sound researcher. Because even if the songs that Threresa publishes under the name "Golden Diskó Ship" follow familiar patterns, they always fall out of the ordinary. The musician, who lives in Berlin, always succeeds in finding new sounds and putting familiar things into fresh contexts. On their new album "Aracea" you can recognize folk melodies, techno rhythms and pop hit refrains, but background noises and atonality hiss through the familiar sound ambience.
