The musician Omar Souleyman used to live in Syria. He worked as a singer at wedding parties. The recordings were given to the married couple and later traded on the black market. Now Syria is destroyed by the war and Souleyman lives in Turkey. He now works with Björk or Damon Albarn and has become an international pop star. On his new album "Shlon" he sings about the beauty of women and the promise of eternal love. He uses pumping techno beats as a background.
