Nubya Garcia on Sax - Joe Armon-Jones Keyboards
Nubya Garcia (* 1991 in London) is a British jazz musician (tenor saxophone, flute, composition) with Caribbean roots.
Garcia, like her older siblings, received a solid musical education. She first learned the violin and later also played the viola in the London Schools Symphony Orchestra. In addition, she began playing the saxophone at the age of 10 and soon became a member of the Camden Jazz Band before joining the junior jazz program at the Royal Academy of Music. Garcia started her own bands and played regularly at many music festivals in the UK and abroad. Garcia and her band are currently touring Europe.
